Plantings, Flower Beds + Mulching

We can help you assess your property and create a reasonable plan to add the most beauty for the buck.

Plants Make the World a Better Place!

But they need a happy place to live. It’s a lot of work to make a healthy and vibrant landscape. Left to their own, garden beds will slowly become overgrown, mulch will compost down to soil, and perennial plantings will either take over the environment, or die because they are overcrowded.

There are a number of things to consider when planning your landscape:

Is the existing mulch piled too high? To a large degree mulch will add a stable nutrient base to the soil, but over time if not removed, can damage trees and shrubs.

Are planting beds well placed and proportionate in size? It’s one thing to add some plants to your yard, but another to do it with a well thought out vision.

Diversity and sequence of blooming schedule. Will all the flower bloom in the spring and then none in the summer and fall? Designing with a variety of plants and understanding their natural patterns will allow for a longer period of enjoyment.

Are beds clearly defined? Definition is crucial to any good garden or landscape design. When the beds and areas are clearly defined and edge, the whole composition is more attractive and inviting. When mulch spills out onto a walkway or grass begins growing in the bed, it’s time to re-edge.

Are you thinking long term? It’s very likely that your yard or garden won’t achieve the full intention for a few years as the plants and shrubs establish and reach their full blooming potential. But what will happen a decade later? Will these trees, plants and shrubs still complement each other, the home and the landscape? Thoughtful planning is critical to understand how the landscape will change over time, and how decisions made today will bear fruit for years to come.

North Atlantic Landscape will help you assess your property and create a reasonable plan to add the most beauty for the buck. We can help reclaim forgotten areas or build new beds, full of nutrient rich soil, bright plantings and fresh mulch.

The North Atlantic Advantage

North Atlantic Land is built on the foundation of our earthwork, snow management, and fuel delivery experience. Our approach to landscaping is exactly the same. Invest in the best equipment, hire the best personnel, develop the best management plan and do what we said we would do – on time & on budget. Our team members come from diverse backgrounds in masonry, site work, commercial mowing, equipment operation, mechanical repair, landscaping and project management. The common thread with each of us is a personal understanding of the meaning of real work.

The fleet to get the job done.

We've been investing in heavy equipment, trucks, trailers and specialty equipment for over a decade. We have backups for our backups. The job will get done...

The people make the difference.

Our team members come from all walks of life but have one thing in common, they want to make money. So we pay them well. But also, they care, and it shows.

Proactive management wins.

A team is only as strong as the managers in the office and in the field, preparing, implementing and executing the plan. Our managers lead the way for the rest of our team.
